Sixty-five years ago Slick Willie Sutton, a career criminal who spent half his life incarcerated despite three successful escapes, reportedly told a newspaperman that the reason he robbed banks was, “Because that’s where the money is.” The U.S. Supreme Court heard oral argument Oct. 4 in Shaw v.
