Meghan E. McDonnell
Meghan McDonnell leverages her background in commercial litigation, FINRA arbitration, and bankruptcy to support Tucker Ellis’s Business Litigation Group.
Meghan assists in all aspects of litigation, from drafting briefs to engaging in discovery practice. A skilled legal writer and researcher, she effectively and efficiently handles complex legal matters, maintaining sharp focus on our clients’ interests.
Prior to joining Tucker Ellis, Meghan served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Tiiara N.A. Patton at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Ohio. During her tenure, Meghan drafted opinions, bench memoranda, and court orders – in addition to conducting in-depth legal research and analysis to support court rulings, attending hearings, and reviewing pleadings – all of which honed her skills in bankruptcy law.
During law school, Meghan served as a Legal Extern to Justice Patrick DeWine of the Supreme Court of Ohio and to the Honorable Michael H. Watson at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. In these roles, Meghan gained valuable insights into appellate practice and a deep understanding of the judicial decision-making process.
When not in the office, Meghan enjoys going on cross-county road trips with family, taking her spirited golden retriever on long walks, and discovering Cleveland’s best restaurants.
