Maya Kanaan
Maya Kanaan represents clients in a variety of litigation, with an emphasis on medical malpractice and motor vehicle accident defense.
Maya is adept at leading and defending fact and expert witness depositions, researching and analyzing case law, drafting legal documents, and preparing and responding to discovery. With experience in plaintiffs’ personal injury litigation, Maya understands her adversaries, which helps her remain one step ahead.
Comfortable in the courtroom, Maya has served as first chair in more than two dozen jury trials taken to verdict. She also has handled hundreds of mandatory arbitrations and led multiple mediations in which she used her rigorous negotiation skills to assist in obtaining successful outcomes for clients.
In her free time, Maya enjoys traveling and being active, whether it be at the gym or in front of a boxing bag. She also appreciates relaxing at home with her husband, Nabil, and bunny, Biggie Smalls.
