Tucker Ellis Receives Inaugural Silver Commuter Choice Award
September 2014
Tucker Ellis LLP is proud to announce that it has received the Silver 2014 “Commuter Choice Award” from the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA). NOACA distributed the region’s first-ever awards at its annual meeting on September 12, 2014. Tucker Ellis’s Silver Award was the highest finish of any law firm.
The Commuter Choice Awards acknowledge and reward organizations that practice and promote environmentally friendly commute options, including transit, carpooling, bicycling, walking, and telecommuting. Forty area organizations completed a NOACA survey to gauge their support and promotion of alternative forms of transportation. Each participating organization received a numerical score based on the amenities and programs they offer, and the total score determined Gold, Silver, and Bronze ratings.
Jeff Healy, Partner-in-Charge of Tucker Ellis’s Ohio offices, said, “As a firm, we strive to be a leader in environmentally conscious efforts, and we’re proud to take home the inaugural NOACA Silver award.”
Carter Strang, a founder of the firm’s Green Initiative Committee, accepted the award on behalf of Tucker Ellis. “We’ve worked hard to promote and engage in environmentally friendly commuting alternatives, including the use of mass transit and biking,” he said. “We’re pleased to have been ranked so highly.”
