On January 29, the 2016 Cleveland Early College (CEC) High School Mock Trial Team, coached by Chelsea Mikula and Chelsea Smith, won its first round over Lake Ridge Academy and took home three awards: two for “best witness” and another for “best attorney.” The CEC mock trial initiative is a cornerstone of the award-winning Tucker Ellis Pipeline Program, which encourages economically disadvantaged and minority students to learn about the law and pursue careers in the legal profession.
