Steele and Kroll Ranked in World Trademark Review 1000 for 2020
February 2020
Congratulations to David Steele and Howard Kroll, recommended in the 2020 edition of World Trademark Review 1000: The World’s Leading Trademark Professionals (WTR 1000). David and Howard are ranked in the silver and bronze bands of WTR 1000, respectively. Tucker Ellis is ranked as a firm in the bronze band of United States: California in the area of enforcement and litigation.
The WTR 1000 research directory, which focuses exclusively on trademark practices and practitioners, has firmly established itself as the definitive ‘go-to’ resource for those seeking world-class legal trademark expertise. As with previous editions, to arrive at the 2020 rankings, World Trademark Review undertook an exhaustive qualitative research project to identify the firms and individuals that are deemed outstanding in this critical area of practice. When identifying the leading firms, factors such as depth of expertise, market presence and the level of work on which they are typically instructed were all taken into account, alongside positive peer and client feedback.
According to the WTR 1000:
“Newly minted in the WTR 1000 for 2020, Tucker Ellis is a growing force in the brands area. Where trademark and internet law intersect is a sweet spot for the ensemble and star turn David Steele, an online enforcement mastermind in hot demand among household-name companies …. Steele keeps the firm on the cutting edge of development in terms of technical brand enforcement tools. He and veteran litigator Howard Kroll regularly link up. Tucker Ellis has made a focused effort to grow its prosecution practice recently and met with success; it has built out an excellent docketing system and is handling an increasing volume of files smoothly and efficiently.”
