Ludgy LaRochelle has been named co-chair of “Dismantling Systemic & Negotiated Racism,” a Working Group of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association’s (CMBA) Racial Equity and the Law (REAL) Initiative. The Working Group is responsible for reviewing existing legislation and regulations that may unfairly impact people of color or that may place unequal burdens on certain communities. The Working Group will also propose revised and/or new legislation and regulation at the local, state, and federal levels. On February 9, the REAL Initiative will host a Zoom program, “REAL Talk: Call to Collective Action for Racial Equity Now.” Working Groups will collaborate with CMBA members and the greater community to create plans for progress. For more information or to register for the free program, click here.
