On February 8, Joe Morford was part of the closing panel discussion on “Diversity: It’s Complicated” at Ark Group’s 11th Annual Women Legal 2018 in San Francisco. The panel explored how firms are addressing some of the “complicated tensions” between different kinds of diversity within law firms with limited resources and attention spans. The discussion delved into the complications of diversity and inclusion (concerning both race and gender) — addressing a perception that perhaps white male fear or resentment exists in the wake of high- profile inclusion efforts that have taken place in the past few decades.
