On January 9, Crain’s Cleveland Business quoted John Slagter in its article “A Wrong Righted, Architects Land Lien Rights.” The article discusses a new Ohio law that extends lien rights to architects, landscape architects, and surveyors. Until the law’s enactment, such professionals were unable to place liens on properties for unpaid fees in Ohio, which was the last state to grant such lien rights.
