Tucker Ellis represents Ampex Brands in its acquisition of Au Bon Pain from Panera Bread
Tucker Ellis represented Ampex Brands – a Yum! Brands Inc. and 7-Eleven franchisee with more than 400 Pizza Hut, KFC, Taco Bell, Long John Silver’s and 7-Eleven locations – in its June 29 acquisition of bakery-café chain Au Bon Pain from Panera Bread. The acquisition includes Au Bon Pain’s 171 locations and franchising rights for another 131 restaurants. The deal catapults Ampex into the role of franchisor and expands its footprint internationally.
Leading the team representing Ampex in the transaction were Jayne Juvan and Christopher Hewitt, supported by Christina Suh, Matthew Moriarty, and Joseph Manno (finance), Ashley Gault (real estate), Peter Igel (tax), Heather Barnes and Bennett Kuhar (intellectual property), and Glenn Morrical (corporate).
