On April 22, Tom Fawkes and Brian Jackiw, along with Jay Snyder, Vice President of Credit – The Americas of Tech Data Corporation, were panelists at the NACM (National Association of Credit Management) Connect Virtual 2021 Annual Meeting. The panelists discussed mergers and acquisitions and the impacts on a credit department, including harmonizing credit department contracts and documents, as well as credit policies; ensuring that credit protections, including security interests and guarantees, are preserved and maintained post-combination; preserving culture in a credit department that has just absorbed another credit department; and using a merger transaction as an opportunity to improve the credit function.
