On December 10, Tariq Naeem presented “Interaction of State and Federal Cannabis Laws” to the Manos Inn of Court. Tariq discussed topics including the current status of marijuana under federal and state laws, application of the Controlled Substances Act to intrastate cannabis activities, the ongoing process to reschedule marijuana from a Schedule I to a Schedule III drug under the Controlled Substances Act, and the potential impacts to state marijuana regimes if marijuana is rescheduled.
