On June 8, Ed Taber and Vicky Vance spoke at the Ohio Hospital Association (OHA) Centennial Annual Meeting. Their presentation, “New Frontiers in HIPAA & Privacy Enforcement: State Courts, FTC and OIG,” provided an overview of the shift in HIPAA enforcement tactics and strategy and the appropriate measures to be taken by hospitals and their business associates in order to prevent costly privacy breaches. The meeting was held June 8-10 in Columbus.
