On September 19, Nick Clifford spoke at the IPO 2022 Annual Meeting in Los Angeles. Nick was part of a panel focusing on the growing tension between employee mobility – specifically the enforceability of non-compete and non-disclosure agreements post-employment – and strong trade secret protection, and whether the focus on employee mobility might be eroding trade secret protection in light of recent developments. The panel also looked at the steps trade secret owners might take in anticipation of recent and potential legislation favoring employee mobility.
