On April 10, Mollie Benedict moderated a panel discussion at the International Association of Defense Counsel’s (IADC) 2025 Corporate Counsel College in Chicago. Mollie and the panelists discussed the challenges posed by deepfake technology, including its threat to the authenticity of evidence, what to do when judges and jurors can’t trust their own eyes and ears, and how this is playing out in discovery and courtrooms. The panel also discussed proposed changes to the Federal Rules of Evidence that may be on the horizon to address these issues.
