Mollie Benedict and Sandy Wunderlich spoke at the International Association of Defense Counsel’s (IADC) 2019 Midyear Meeting, held February 23-28 in Santa Barbara, California.

On February 25, Sandy used her IP focus as a panelist discussing the significant transformation of the music industry over the past 20 years as a result of technology, social media, and the changing power structure between artists, songwriters, and those who produce, distribute, and market music. The panelists, who represent different facets of the music business, discussed copyright and trademark law along with other issues that keep them up at night in the music industry.

On February 26, Mollie contributed to a panel discussing the basics of direct and cross-examination of expert witnesses at trial. The presentation focused on key time-tested principles with an interactive joint discussion interspersed with engaging and illustrative movie clips.
