On July 24, 2024, Art Mertes, in his role as Chair of the PDA Chicago Chapter Private Equity & Family Office Committee, emceed a Private Directors Association (PDA) webinar, produced in collaboration with Pricewaterhouse Coopers and Family Office Exchange. The event’s goal was to educate PDA’s attendees about the various structures and functions of family office boards. During “The Evolution of Family Office Boards: A Roadmap to Success,” an expert panel offered valuable insights about the different types of family offices, governance structures, family office dynamics, how these evolve over time, and the unique issues handled by their boards. These insights better-equip PDA’s private director membership viewers for service on and when seeking board positions in family offices and their portfolio companies.
