Tony Brosamle Moderates Community Forum on Crime Trends in Los Angeles
October 6, 2017
On October 4, Tony Brosamle moderated the second in a series of community forums in Los Angeles focusing on changes in state sentencing and incarceration laws and their impact on local business and residents. This month’s panel consisted of criminologists and professors from Cal State University, Northridge, who discussed issues and responded to questions about prison reform, local and statewide crime trends, homelessness, and changes in law enforcement and prosecutorial tactics following a number of key court decisions, new state legislation, and voter approved propositions. A member of the LAPD’s Community Police Advisory Board, Tony is also an elected member of LA’s West Hill’s Neighborhood Council Board of Directors, where he co-chair its Public Safety Committee that works with local and state officials, as well as law enforcement and business and community leaders to address ongoing crime and emergency response issues in the City of Angels.
