Tucker Ellis Welcomes Four Attorneys to Cleveland Office and Expands White Collar and Corporate Practices

The law firm of Tucker Ellis is pleased to welcome Christopher Hewitt, John McCaffrey, Anthony Petruzzi, and Adrienne Kirshner to the Cleveland office. The addition of these attorneys further expands the firm’s capabilities in the corporate and complex business litigation service areas.
Christopher Hewitt joins Tucker Ellis as a partner in the Corporate, M&A and Securities practice group. He brings 18 years of experience at Skadden Arps and Jones Day representing public and sophisticated private companies, with specific focus on M&A and securities law, including takeover preparedness and defense, corporate governance, corporate board counseling, and SEC compliance. Mr. Hewitt graduated summa cum laude with a B.B.A. in accounting from The University of Toledo and magna cum laude from Georgetown University with a J.D./M.B.A.
John McCaffrey joins the firm’s trial department as a partner, bringing with him 25 years of experience. He practices in the areas of complex business litigation; white collar criminal defense and corporate investigations, including antitrust, public corruption, securities and banking offenses, technology-related crime, economic espionage and trade secret offenses; healthcare and government contract fraud; tax matters; and environmental crime. Mr. McCaffrey established a distinguished career in federal and state prosecutions. He has served as a Special Agent with the FBI, a Cuyahoga County assistant prosecutor, and a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio. Mr. McCaffrey is the current General Counsel, Secretary, and Treasurer for the J. Edgar Hoover Foundation. He has represented individuals and entities in many of the region’s high-profile white collar criminal prosecutions. Mr. McCaffrey received his undergraduate degree from John Carroll University and his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
Anthony Petruzzi joins the Tucker Ellis trial department as counsel, focusing on white collar criminal defense, corporate investigations, and business litigation. Mr. Petruzzi received his undergraduate degree from Ohio University summa cum laude and his J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.
Adrienne Kirshner is an associate in the firm’s trial department, also focusing on white collar criminal defense and corporate investigation, appellate and legal issues, business litigation, class action litigation, and financial institutions. She received her undergraduate degree with general honors from The University of Chicago and her J.D. cum laude from Case Western Reserve University.
