Kristin A. Volk
Kristin Volk leverages her prior career as an investigative journalist to support Tucker Ellis teams as a member of the Junior Attorney Corps.
Kristin brings significant experience in solving problems, advocating for others, and managing complex issues to Tucker Ellis. As a member of Tucker Ellis’s Junior Attorney Corps, Kristin assists with in-depth research, analysis, and drafting across practice groups.
Before her legal career, Kristin served as Marketing Director for a Cleveland-based law firm for five years. There, she helped orchestrate the firm’s expansion from one office to three statewide. She also launched the firm’s business development program, developed new internal and external strategic marketing initiatives, and coached attorneys on how to identify potential clients and build relationships with existing clients.
Previously, Kristin spent more than a decade as a broadcast journalist in Washington, D.C., New York, Chicago, and Cleveland. In Washington, D.C., she regularly reported from the White House and Capitol Hill interviewing and interacting with former presidents, senators, representatives, and other federal lawmakers. At NewsChannel 5 in Cleveland, Kristin won an Emmy Award for her investigative journalism.
A native of the Toledo area, Kristin earned her bachelor’s degree in communications from Denison University and her master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University. She enjoys slalom waterskiing in Michigan, event planning, and assisting individuals with disabilities.
