On May 9, Scott Stitt presented at The ESOP Association’s National Conference 2024 in Washington, D.C. on “The Status of Arbitration Clauses – and Whether It Makes Sense for Your ESOP.” Scott provided background on the law of ERISA arbitration for ESOP litigation and discussed the pros and cons of ERISA litigation vs. ERISA arbitration to help attendees understand the current landscape and evaluate whether arbitration makes sense for their ESOPs.

Also, as the Vice President of Government Relations for The ESOP Association’s Ohio/Kentucky Chapter, Scott (pictured above on the far right) was the meeting leader for Ohio attendees of ESOP Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill, an annual event giving the ESOP community the chance to meet with elected officials. Scott led meetings with the staffs of Senators Sherrod Brown and JD Vance and Representatives Joyce Beatty, Jim Jordan, and Marcy Kaptur to discuss expanding support for employee ownership.
