Tucker Ellis Expands into Atlanta and Morristown, Growing Firm’s Labor & Employment and Health & Life Sciences Practices
February 20, 2024
Tucker Ellis LLP is pleased to announce the opening of offices in two new markets: Atlanta, Georgia, and Morristown, New Jersey.
Tucker Ellis’s national Labor & Employment practice will be enhanced by the addition of five attorneys in Atlanta: partners Ronald G. Polly, Jr. and Matthew Boyd, counsel Alex Barfield, and associates Christine Kurke and Breshauna Perkins.
The firm’s national Health & Life Sciences practice will be bolstered by the addition of partners Maha Kabbash and Diana Katz Gerstel in Morristown, New Jersey – the epicenter of New Jersey’s biotechnology industry and a widely recognized national life sciences hub.
“We’ve had our eye on these two regions for quite some time,” said Tucker Ellis Managing Partner Joe Morford. “We’re excited that our vision is becoming a reality with an incredible cadre of talent to stack on top our already-strong national teams. These top-quality lawyers are also top-quality people whom we’ve worked alongside on a number of matters. We couldn’t be happier to welcome them to Tucker Ellis.”
Tom Simmons, Tucker Ellis Labor & Employment Group Chair, said, “It’s great to see our labor and employment practice extend to Atlanta. With the addition of these five top-tier attorneys, we’re not only expanding in geographic scope, but also significantly deepening the capabilities of our client teams to deliver outstanding service. I’m pleased to welcome our new colleagues to Tucker Ellis.”
“We feel incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to continue our careers with Tucker Ellis at such an exciting time in the firm’s expansion,” said Mr. Polly. Mr. Boyd continued, “It’s a truly wonderful chance to be an integral part of growing both the Tucker Ellis footprint and our labor and employment practice.”
Sherry Knutson, co-chair of the firm’s Health & Life Sciences Group, said, “We’ve had the pleasure of working alongside Maha and Diana for years and know them to be not only skilled lawyers but also wonderful people who will be a great fit for the Tucker Ellis culture.” Co-chair Tariq Naeem added, “We’re thrilled to welcome these two incredibly talented partners as we continue to build our nationwide life sciences litigation practice.”
“We decided to join Tucker Ellis for both the professional opportunities offered by this nationwide firm and the cultural fit, which is so important to us,” said Ms. Kabbash. Ms. Gerstel continued, “Tucker Ellis is well known in the life sciences industry for handling interesting and complex matters and delivering impressive results for clients. We’re excited to be part of the future of this growing firm in an environment of true team camaraderie.”
