Nate Newman is a trial attorney who handles complex tort and business disputes in federal and state courts.
While he focuses his practice on product liability and mass tort defense, he has also litigated consumer class actions and commercial cases. He is part of National Counsel and local trial counsel teams for clients in a variety of industry sectors, including aviation, HVAC, vertical transportation, industrial steam system components, raw minerals, and telecommunications. Nate handles all aspects of the litigation process, from initial case evaluation through discovery to trial and appeal. He recognizes that, in most cases, clients want the quickest and most cost-effective resolution available, and works closely with them to aggressively identify and implement a workable strategy to achieve these objectives. He has a track record of stepping in to existing litigation for clients and promptly reducing the number of pending cases as well as deterring new filings.
Nate grew up in suburban Detroit, Michigan, and is a dedicated fan of the Tigers, Red Wings, Pistons, and Lions. In undergrad, he coached 7th and 8th grade boys’ basketball at a small Ann Arbor middle school. He moved to California to attend law school, where he spent a semester as an extern for Judge Alex Kozinski. Outside the office, Nate and his wife spend most of their time chasing their two children around the parks of Chicago.
